I am a ceramic artist; with an organic style that is at home in the Pacific North West, hand coiling and sculpting each piece of my ceramic art with textures that echo nature.

 

Porcelain is my choice of clay, for its brightness and stark contrast to the dark moody clouds... streaks of black lighting... banks of rising fog that smoke can create on the surface of each piece of my work.

Barrel firing allows the heat and smoke to force patterns and lay color on the surface, balancing the textures of nature with the finish of smoke and fire.
